“When I’m creating, I feel total freedom and joy. Emotions I hope to share with the viewer.”

Let’s create a masterpiece together!

Marla Alexandra has earned a reputation as an artist who can WOW in any medium. She is known for her infectious enthusiasm and an undying dedication to her twin muses, fashion and nature. One project typical of her unique creativity was a court gown inspired by the Eighteenth Century dresses of Marie Antoinette and the tropical forests of Southeast Asia. This type of thematic fusion is not at all atypical to her work.

She works in oil, acrylic, charcoal, graphite, spray paint, watercolors and  just about anything else you can think of. She has used materials ranging from feathers to rhinestones, to magnets and mirrors.  She's an avid fan of the depth that mixed media adds to her work but painting remains her first love. Whether on fabric or canvas, it is the bedrock of her artistic passion.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion from the prestigious Savannah College of Art and Design and ten years of experience in the fashion industry as a senior designer and product development manager she has the experience and aptitude to handle projects of any shape and size. She has hand painted shirts for Dallas designer Finley, worked with dressmakers on one of a kind designs for exclusive clientele, sold hand dyed scarves at her own boutique at Canton Trade Days, and travelled halfway across the country to paint a mural for a dear friend's pet clinic. Whether it’s day to day jobs like fashion illustrating, technical sketches and graphic work, or larger scale projects requiring a strong understanding of production and sourcing, this “Jill of all artistic trades” has you covered!
